SocialBridge Privacy Policy

SocialBridge is a Windows desktop app made by Haloshine Technologies (OPC) Private Limited ("we", "us"). It helps you publish short videos to your own Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts and YouTube channels, schedule those posts, and see how they perform. This policy explains what information SocialBridge accesses, how it is stored, used and shared, and how you can remove it.

You must agree to this Privacy Policy and the SocialBridge Terms of Use before using SocialBridge. SocialBridge asks for this agreement the first time you open it.

This policy covers the SocialBridge app. Our website, games and other apps are covered by the Haloshine Technologies Privacy Policy.

1. The Short Version

• SocialBridge runs on your own computer. The information it uses is stored on that computer. It is not sent to us, and we do not run servers that collect it.
• SocialBridge only connects to the accounts you connect. It uploads only the posts you approve, and it reads information about your own accounts and the posts it published.
• We do not sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or advertising tools.
• You can disconnect an account and delete what SocialBridge stored about it at any time.

2. SocialBridge Uses YouTube API Services

SocialBridge uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to your YouTube channel, to make the changes you ask for to those videos (their title, description, privacy setting and playlists), to post the first comments you write on them, and to read information about your channel and those videos. By using SocialBridge's YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms

Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy

SocialBridge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

2.1 Permissions SocialBridge Asks For

When you sign in with Google to connect a YouTube channel, SocialBridge asks for:

• Permission to see, edit and delete your YouTube videos, comments and captions (Google shows it as "See, edit, and permanently delete your YouTube videos, ratings, comments and captions"). SocialBridge uses it only to upload the videos you approve; to show which channel is connected, check each uploaded video's processing and privacy status, and read view, like and comment counts for the videos it uploaded; to change the title, description or privacy setting of a video it uploaded when you ask; to add a video to one of your playlists when you choose one; and to post the first comment you wrote for a post. SocialBridge never deletes anything on YouTube.
• Permission to view YouTube Analytics reports (optional), so it can show audience figures for your channel.

Channels connected before 16 September 2026 may still have the earlier permissions (to upload videos, and to view your YouTube account). They keep uploading as before; changing videos, playlists and first comments on YouTube start working after you sign in again.

2.2 YouTube Information SocialBridge Accesses

• Your channel's ID, name and subscriber count.
• For videos uploaded through SocialBridge: the video ID and link, privacy status, processing status, publish time, and view, like and comment counts.
• If you allow YouTube Analytics: reports for your channel such as views, engaged views, Shorts views, watch time, subscribers gained and lost, and the share of viewers by age group and gender, country, traffic source and content type. These reports are totals prepared by YouTube and do not identify individual viewers.
• When you choose a playlist: your channel's playlists with their names, number of videos and privacy setting. The list is read when you ask for it and is not stored; SocialBridge keeps only the name and ID of the playlist you choose for a post.
• When you open a video you uploaded with SocialBridge to change it: its current title, description and privacy setting, so you can see what you are changing. These are not stored.
• For a first comment SocialBridge posted on YouTube: the comment's ID.

SocialBridge does not read other people's comments or your messages, does not store titles or descriptions returned by YouTube, does not delete anything on YouTube, and changes a video only when you ask for that change.

2.3 What SocialBridge Sends to YouTube

When you approve a post for YouTube, SocialBridge uploads the video file you chose with the details you entered or confirmed: title, description, tags, category, privacy setting (public, unlisted or private), whether the video is made for kids, and whether it contains altered or synthetic content. If you picked a cover picture, SocialBridge also sends one still frame taken from that same video, as a picture, to be that video's thumbnail; YouTube may decline it, and then keeps the picture it makes itself. SocialBridge shows these details before you approve and uploads the video at the time you chose.

If you chose a playlist for the post, SocialBridge adds the uploaded video to that playlist. If you wrote a first comment and switched it on for YouTube, SocialBridge posts exactly that text as a comment from your channel once the video is public or unlisted. It never posts a comment you did not write and switch on for that post, and never on a video marked as made for kids. When you change a video you uploaded with SocialBridge, it sends only the title, description or privacy setting you changed, after showing you each change and the channel it acts as; it never changes the privacy setting unless you choose a new one.

2.4 How YouTube Information Is Stored, and for How Long

YouTube information is stored only on your computer, in SocialBridge's data folder. Your Google sign-in is stored in a file in SocialBridge's folder that Windows limits to your Windows user account.

• View, like and comment counts and YouTube Analytics reports are kept only while SocialBridge is still allowed to access your channel. SocialBridge checks this each day it runs, and at least every 30 days; if your computer was off for longer, it checks the next time SocialBridge runs.
• At least every 30 days, SocialBridge checks that each video it holds information about still exists on YouTube. If a video was deleted from YouTube, SocialBridge deletes the information it stored about that video.
• Other YouTube information, such as your channel name, video IDs, links, status and publish times, is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days.
• The text of a first comment for YouTube, and the name and ID of a chosen playlist, are kept only until they are used or given up, and are deleted within 30 days after that, together with the comment's ID. A first comment that still cannot be posted 30 days after its video was uploaded (for example because the video stayed private) is given up and its text deleted.
• SocialBridge's log files, which may contain video IDs and error messages from YouTube, are deleted after 30 days.

2.5 Removing Access and Deleting YouTube Information

• In SocialBridge, open Accounts and choose Disconnect YouTube. SocialBridge immediately asks Google to cancel its access and deletes all information it stored for that channel, including that channel's post history in SocialBridge.
• To delete the stored YouTube information but stay connected, choose Delete stored YouTube data on the Accounts page.
• Neither option deletes anything on YouTube. Your videos and channel stay as they are.
• You can also remove SocialBridge's access at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. SocialBridge notices this the next time it checks, and deletes the YouTube information it stored for that channel within 30 days.

3. Facebook and Instagram

SocialBridge uses Meta's APIs to publish to Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts that you manage.

• How it connects: you give SocialBridge a Meta access token. SocialBridge finds the Pages and linked Instagram accounts that token can manage, and saves only the ones you choose.
• Information it accesses: Page IDs and names; Instagram account IDs and usernames; the IDs, links and status of posts SocialBridge publishes; performance numbers for those posts, such as views, reach, likes, comments, saves and shares; and account audience numbers, such as followers, daily follows and unfollows, views, and Instagram follower breakdowns by age, gender and location where Meta provides them; and the IDs of the first comments it posts.
• What it sends: the video, caption and settings you approve, at the time you chose. When you ask, it also cancels or reschedules a post you scheduled on Facebook. If you wrote a first comment and switched it on for Facebook or Instagram, it posts exactly that text as a comment from your Page or Instagram account once the post is live.
• Storage: on your computer. Access tokens are encrypted with Windows data protection for your Windows user account. Removing an account in SocialBridge deletes its saved tokens and settings.

4. Optional AI Suggestions

AI suggestions are off until you turn them on in SocialBridge's Settings.

• If you choose the local AI option (Ollama), requests are processed on your computer and nothing is sent elsewhere.
• If you choose Claude (by Anthropic) or ChatGPT (by OpenAI), you add your own API key, and SocialBridge sends a request directly from your computer to that provider only when you click a suggestion button:
  • Caption suggestions: the account's name and the notes you wrote about it, whether it posts content made for kids, the platforms you chose, your draft title and caption, and the video's file name.
  • Content ideas: each account's name, platforms, number of posts planned for the next 7 days, whether it posts content made for kids and the notes you wrote about it; your post titles, when posts went live and their views, reach, saves and shares; a best posting time calculated from your Facebook and Instagram numbers; Facebook and Instagram audience numbers (such as followers, reach, follows and follower breakdowns); and your time zone.
  • YouTube information is included in content ideas only if you turn on "Include YouTube numbers when asking AI" in Settings. Then the view numbers and publish times of your YouTube videos, your channel's subscriber count and its YouTube Analytics audience figures are also sent.
• The provider handles these requests under its own terms and privacy policy (Anthropic, OpenAI). SocialBridge asks OpenAI not to store its requests. The information is sent only to produce the suggestions you asked for, and we do not use it to train AI models.

5. Your Computer and Your Web Browser

• SocialBridge's screens open in your web browser from your own computer (address 127.0.0.1) and cannot be reached from other devices.
• SocialBridge sets one cookie that protects its forms from misuse, and uses your browser's storage to remember small display choices, such as tips you dismissed.
• SocialBridge's screens load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers to download them.
• SocialBridge connects only to Google and YouTube, Meta, and, if you use them, Anthropic or OpenAI. It does not send information to us.

6. How Information Is Used and Shared

SocialBridge uses the information described above only to provide its features to you: publishing and scheduling the posts you approve, showing their status and performance, warning you about problems, and giving the AI suggestions you ask for.

It is shared only with the services needed to do what you ask (Google and YouTube, Meta) and, if you use AI suggestions, the AI provider you chose. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else. SocialBridge shows no ads and no third-party content.

7. Children

SocialBridge is a tool for adult creators and businesses and is not directed at children. Some channels managed with it publish content made for kids, and SocialBridge lets you mark those videos as made for kids when uploading. SocialBridge does not collect personal information from the viewers of your content; the audience figures it shows are totals prepared by the platforms.

8. Security

SocialBridge connects to Google, YouTube, Meta and AI providers over encrypted HTTPS connections. Its screens are available only on your own computer and are protected against requests from other websites. Access tokens are encrypted or stored in files limited to your Windows user account. Anyone who can sign in to your Windows account may be able to see SocialBridge's information, so keep your computer and Windows account secure.

9. Your Choices

• Disconnect a YouTube channel, or delete its stored data, on the Accounts page.
• Remove a Facebook or Instagram account on the Accounts page.
• Turn AI suggestions off, or turn off "Include YouTube numbers when asking AI", in Settings.
• Uninstalling SocialBridge and deleting its folder removes all information it stored on your computer.

10. Changes to This Policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is handled, SocialBridge asks you to agree again before you continue using it.
